My Car of the Future, Today
Larry Allen
My Honda del Sol electric vehicle travels 60 highway miles on a single charge and goes over 80 mph. And it saves money, because it only costs 2 cents per mile for electricity. When I install solar panels on my roof this summer, the cost will be reduced to zero cents per mile. By driving an electric vehicle, I am helping the balance of trade, reducing air pollution, and also not adding to our geopolitical problems. Unfortunately, I had to convert this Honda to an electric vehicle myself, because the major automakers don't seem to value clean skies and water and don't make electric vehicles anymore.
